12 Autumn Activities To Do With Young Children

IT'S PUMPKIN SPICE SEASON + I'M BRINGING THE KIDS ALONG WITH ME

I love Autumn as much as any basic white girl waits in anticipation for PSL season and Ugg weather. It is the superior season and now that I have my own children I'm determined to find ways to include Autumn in all its glory in their day to day.

There's something so nostalgic about Autumn for me. Something in the air, the smoky cedar smells, the crunch of the leaves, the cooler evenings and foggy misty mornings that awakes the inner child in me. Autumn was such a fun, exciting, playful, magical season for me as child and I want to replicate that for my own children. Here are some things I've found that I not only love, but my children do as well. I'm determined to make memories together for Autumns to come.

  • Autumn Nature Unit Study (ages 4+): find them on Etsy here.

  • "Boo" your neighbors or your kiddos friends. In essence, leave them a goodie bag with fall treats and such, and leave it at their door for them to find, don't tell them who it's from and encourage them to "boo" another neighbor themselves. See the photo below for more info.
